MOOSEDUMPS! Day Two. OooogaBoooga!

Helloooooooooo Darlings!! It's getting spooky in here! My Halloween spirit has returned full force. It's a perfect dreary, rainy, chilly day. My decorations are finally going up and we're binge watching Ghost Adventures. All is right with the world.

I'm about to take a break and get in to the next Moosedumps TPAH episode. This one is great. Steve's favorite ex, Produce Tara makes her first appearance and it's adorable. He's so stinkin cute.

Let's all enjoy episode 49 from October 15, 2015, Produce Tara.

PS: The song that Steve plays at the end is a real thing. I looked it up because I thought it was too silly to be real. Totes real. Weird.

Moosedumps!

Hello Gorgeous!

Are you in Halloween mode? No? Me neither. It's only ten piggin days away! I've been having a hard time finding my holiday spirit and usual enthusiasm for this special time of year. Normally by this time my place would be decorated and there'd be scary movies and The Great Pumpkin going 24/7. Something's really missing this year. I figured it out this morning! MOOSEDUMPS! I miss TPAH and I miss Moosedumps!

If you don't know what I'm talking about, we're probably not ever going to be friends, but I'll tell you what it is. Each week in October, the great Midnight Martinez would share a scary story that he wrote when he was just a wee pre-teen. Dusk Martinez, maybe. This was my very favorite part of TPAH in October. It's so fun.

Let's spend the next ten days just listening to Moosedumps episodes of TPAH. I'm going to be just randomly picking and listening to them and I'll link ya so you can too.

I'm starting with this one: Episode 47, Airfare to Austin from October 1, 2015. I just put it on and so far I'm super into it. It's been a very long time since I've heard it. They just played the TPAH National Anthem that was written and performed by the scrumptious Steve Miller-Miller.

Aahhhhhhhhh, I feel better already.

Enjoy your Monday.

Happy Birthday John Kensil!

Hello Darlings!

We're back!! I don't know what's going on over here, but everything's OK again. All the links are linking. YAY!

Let's have a special comeback post to celebrate our beloved John Kensil's birthday!

I love this picture of John. It reminds me of the first time I saw him. Picture it, Lansdale, Kensilvania, 2007. It was April 28th and I was super stoked to go see a comedy show and meet Danny Ozark (I was a fan of the Kidd Chris Show and Ozark was on there constantly at this point). Good times.I met a friend at the venue who knew everyone that was performing. He let me know that it was a TDTF show. At the time, I didn't know what the hell a TDTF show was. But my friend explained, "The TDTF guys that are here are Mike Rainey, Danny Ozark, and Pat Kelly". He pointed them out as he went. Then he said, "That's John Kensil over there". I totally thought John was the boss of everyone else. He looked like an adult, professional person. After I found out he wasn't in charge, I just thought it was nice of him to spend time with the rest of them. I still think that.

Let's celebrate his birthday with an incredible, classic EricToddCast. This is one of the greatest episodes of any podcast ever.

You don't need me to break this episode down for you. It's great. Just listen to it and thank the universe that we have John.

Rage Against The Muffchine

Hello Darlings!

Excitement Corner is closed for now. None of the links to any of the shows we've talked about here work. We can't link to any others. It sucks. Perhaps we will be able to get them from somewhere else, but that's going to take a while.

I'll be back as soon as there's an update about the new TPAH and we'll cover all that delicious action when it starts!

Thanks for hanging in there. Have a great day, Gorgeous!

Ancient Alien Goddesses

May 21, 2015 Episode 33
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez, Nick Vollmer
Guest: Josh Jakubiw and Steve Miller-Miller

Hello Darlings! I've missed my little blog SO much. It's exciting to be back. Thank you for coming back with me.

Did you catch the last TPAH on Laffcast? Did you hear the major announcement? If you didn't, make sure you check it out. I'll spill the beans on the big news. TPAH lives on! It's no longer The Passive Aggressive Hour, it's going to be....get ready......Tom Petty Appreciation Hour! TPAH!! Hooray!! It's going to be fun and I can't wait. My sources tell me it's going to be heavy on the Tom Petty talk, but will also retain some of our favorite parts of The Passive Aggressive Hour. Fingers crossed, Loves, it should be debuting soon. Stay tuned.

Before we get into this classic episode, I want to quickly explain why Excitement Corner has been gone for over a month. So many things going on, Darlings. The biggest thing was that I got a part time job for some extra money and to pay off some credit card bills. That was plan A, anyway. Now, I believe that there's no shame in any job and no work is beneath any person. That said, my part time job was McBullshit and I only lasted about 3 weeks. That's a full 2 weeks longer than anyone thought I would last. Judas Priest, it was horrendous. The actual work was fine, the hours were great, the pay sucked, but was what it was. The only problem was the shithead bosses. Horrendous, awful, wretched whores is what they were. So, as much as I believe no one is better than anyone else because of their job, there's also reasons why some people will never get out of paper hat culture and they never should. So, that along with some tooth stuff and just life in general kept Excitement Corner down for a minute. That probably won't ever happen again.

Let's get in to this TPAH from the past!

After the Goddamn Tweets, John shares hilarious stories of pranks he's pulled. So funny! Don't ever piss John off! Gee whiz. Ya know, I tried to prank John Kensil. Mind you, I've got zero skills and even less creativity in the field of prankery. But, I saw an opportunity and I went for it. A nearby diner that I go to a lot was sold and the new owner had to change the name. They put a suggestion box up by the register and gave people the chance to name the place. You had to put your name, phone number, and your suggestion for the diner's new name. The new owner is a big, mean looking, hairy, gold chain wearing, greasy ponytail having, Greek guy. I had a feeling he wouldn't take kindly to people screwing with him. So, I put two entries in the box from John Kensil. One was "Shitzo's Shitburgers" and the other was, "Krippendorf's". I put John's number on them and sat back with my fingers crossed hoping that Mr. Ponytail would get mad and call John to ban him from ever eating there and give him what for. Of course, it never happened. A few days later the suggestion box was gone, and John remained unyelled at. :( Oh well, I tried. It would have been good though. Just sayin.

Ok. Back to it. Jack Jakubiw is in the studio and there's more prank talk including the fine art of prank calling. Dr. Frielgood has a great story about the prank calls he used to make to the TV show, Unsolved Mysteries. I think prank calling is a boy thing. I don't remember thinking it was fun when I was a kid. I did dial 867-5309 quite a few times back in the day, but that's all I could do. Everything else made me feel too guilty. These boys were great at it and it's hilarious to hear now. Midnight Martinez does a live prank call to someone who goes by the name, "Goat" and out of nowhere we've got Steve Miller-Miller!

SMM wants to talk about Steve's erotic book, "Fifty Shades of Grace". Oh boy! We're treated to an excerpt reading! Um, so, "her welcoming ax wound". It gets hot after that. Good stuff.

The Most Relatable Comedian in the World called in and was great! This is one of my favorite calls ever.

Steve had some shit to say about Rebel Wilson. SHOCKING!!!! Oh how his tune has changed. He totes loves Rebs (I call her Rebs) now. Who doesn't? She's perfect.

There's some more breezy talk to wrap up the show. This was a great one.

Have a great Friday! Stay tuned for Stranger Radio coming back next week.

Enjoy episode 33!

Show description: Josh Jakubiw joins the guys to talk about prank calls. The guys prank call a grown man who goes by "Goat". Steve Miller-Miller stops by to read an excerpt from "Fifty Shades of Grace". The Most Relatable Comedian in the World calls in to broaden the show's appeal. It's all that matters on the only podcast that matters.
