Where's the show title?

Episode 14 December 18, 2014
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez, Nick Vollmer
Guests: Shane Kensil and Ali, Brad Beck
Caller: Josh Gotcha

Hello Darling. It's a rainy, dreary day in our part of Kensilvania. A perfect day to stay in our jammies and enjoy a classic TPAH.

Where's the show title? No one knows! Sometimes things go kablooey with technology and computers and whatnot. We can call it whatever we want to.

Today's blast from the past is chock full of laughs and special moments. The incomparable Bradley Beck starts off with a comment about how the liberals haven't taken over Delaware County yet. Hmmm, will Brad redeem himself by the end of the show? Maybe. He brought gifts!

Top nephew, Shane Kensil brought his gal pal Ali. I hope she wasn't scarred for life. It sounds like she was having fun. Shane shared some hilarious stories of John's shenanigans.

During The Goddamn Tweets something magical happened you guys!! John mentioned that comedian Joe Matarese had tweeted "Tweet me questions". John responded and then it appeared that Joe blocked him. Whenever I hear Joe Matarese mentioned I pop up like a prairie dog! I believe this was the first Matarese mention on The Passive Aggressive Hour or at Laffcast studios. You're probably saying, "A-Plus, who's this Joe Matarese guy?". For now, I'll say hold on to your hats, Darlings!! We'll get there. If you can't wait to get involved in Matarese Culture, take a little trip to the Monumental Waste of Time show!! You'll be thrilled and possibly aroused when you hear how Joe Matarese became part of the TPAH Universe! I'll link ya at the bottom.

So, what were the gifts from Bradley? He brought John Kensil an actual piece of the ceiling tile that John fell through in the Kohl's women's changing room!! He gifted Steve with a custom tee shirt. It's got all of Steve's favorite things on it. Here's the image:
Brad's a great gift giver!!

We learn that he also does "that storytelling bullshit". Brad's kind enough to school us on that whole deal. He brought the words "story slam" into my life. That, I don't forgive. Different strokes, I suppose.

Josh Gotcha (really Jakubiw) calls in with a Bill Cosby song. It's pretty funny. That leads to Bill Cosby talk. It's interesting to hear opinions about that now that the whole Cosby saga is over.

I was shocked when it appeared that Brad couldn't pass Dr. Frielgood's The Door Test! Steve thought it was odd too and called him out about it. We had the wrong end of the stick!

This is such a great one!

There are quite a few nominees for alternate show title but here are just a few of mine:
We Don't Have A Lot Of Female Listeners
I Want Pasketti

Favorite quotes:
"I look like a Dutch crossing guard." - John Kensil
"What's this? The god damned Gaza Strip?" - Bob Kensil (as told by shane)

There are really great sponsors in this one too!

Enjoy episode 14!

Show description: John's nephew sits in with his gal pal. Shane Kensil shares tales of life with an uncle like John. Brad Beck brings gifts for John and Steve. Josh Gotcha shares a topical song parody. It's all that matters on the only podcast that matters.

There isn't a ton for me to go on about in this one. It's just fun! Who isn't in the John Kensil Fan Club? We all love John!

Cous Cous on the Loose

December 14, 2014 Episode 12
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Midnight Martinez, Dr. Frielgood, Nick Vollmer, Nick Kupsey
Guest: Joe Moore

Good Monday morning, Darling. I hope you had a terrific weekend. I certainly did. Steve and I celebrated our first Motley Crue Day together and it was as magical as I'd always dreamed it would be.

Today's TPAH is another fun and funny conversation. Joe Moore is in the studio. He doesn't do stand up, he's into sketch comedy. He's still really funny, though and he makes a great guest. Apparently in 2014 someone was running a parody Joe Moore facebook page that was causing him some grief, but it sounds like it was all in good fun.

Joe Moore is the first guest to ever pass Dr. Frielgood's The Door Test! Yay!! OskeeWeeWee, Joe!

There's talk of sketch comedy. John shared a story about a show he used to have and it's really funny. For anyone that knows the people that were involved it's extra funny!

Did you guys know that Nick Kupsey is part Amish? When he disclosed that I was like, "Whhhhaaattt?". That's a stupid way to react to hearing that someone's part Amish. I don't think I've ever met someone that could say that. The Amish have such a secretive culture. I always feel weird around them. Not weird like in a bad way, just uncomfortable for some reason. It's strange. I have a strange thing with the Amish.

The conversation about the Amish lead to my favorite quote, "Are you on rumspringa, Bitch?"- John.

A talk about *Shady Maple happens. Oh boy. I have opinions about Shady Maple. You can't picture my dad at his heaviest, in gray sweatpants and a black tee shirt tucked in to them getting the most exercise he's ever gotten by just walking back and forth to the buffet, but THAT is Shady Maple. To me, anyway. It's a lot of quantity over quality as far the food goes. People in our area of the world friggin LOVE it! I don't know if they still do this, but you used to eat for free if it was your birthday. I'm amazed by the number of people I've known that made it a yearly birthday tradition for themselves or their family members. I went once. My dad took me for my birthday, of course. That's when I found out it was free. Yeah, I don't have too much more commentary on that place. I get that everyone really likes it and it's fun and tradition for some, but sweet baby jesus, I can't with that place. I like that Steve is interested in it because there will probably be a lot of chubby girls there. That cracks me up. He's not wrong, but I think it might be too much even for him!

We learn that it had been an exciting week for Midnight Martinez and Nick Kupsey. Something Star Wars happened. I hate to admit this, but I just couldn't follow. I listened to this part like 3 times this morning and I'm so sorry to say that I can't report on anything they were talking about. If you know about Star Wars or you're just a normal person in the world, you won't have any problems.

John shared some fun stories about his dad, Bob Kensil. We've heard a lot about Mr. Kensil over the years. John has some hilarious videos that they made together. My favorite involves a "god damned squirrel". Check out John's facebook page. March 23rd marked the 1 year anniversary of Mr. Kensil's passing. We are all very lucky that John shared him with us.

All of this and so much more happened in this classic episode. It's perfect for a Monday pick-me-up.

Enjoy episode 12!

Show description: This week, the guys welcome top sketch comedian Joe Moore, Nick Kupsey continues his residency. Doritos Guy rejoins the show and John Kensil had car trouble and got electrocuted. It's all that matters on the only podcast that matters.

Two Puppets Were Gonna Fight

November 20, 2014 Episode 11
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez, Nick Kupsey
Guests: Steve Miller-Miller and Chris Parsons
Caller: Roger Weaver

Darling, I started my day with this episode and within 5 minutes I spit coffee out of my nose from laughing. Oh boy! This is one of my favorites.

Two of the greatest talk show guests anyone could ever have were in the studio. Chris Parsons does the best Bill Cosby impression ever and explains the reasons behind his name change. Steve Miller-Miller brings all of his delicious Miller-Millerness. He teaches us about the Wit- In and Wit-Out Awards. We learn that he was working on his musical, Gloryhole: The Musical. I hope that there is a soundtrack of that somewhere!

Somehow, the conversation turns to the incomparable Mike Proto. You'll hear it mentioned that he was previously talked about and you may say, "A-Plus, I've never heard of this jabroni. When was he on?". He had been a topic of conversation and a phone-in "guest" on The Eric Toddcast. I'll link ya to it at the bottom. Give it a listen! Sometimes we all need to be able to say, "At least I'm not THAT guy.". It's good for our self esteem.

Roger Weaver treats us to his takes over the phone and it's great as always.

John did some drunken retail therapy and brought in the unopened box to share the reveal. I'm not telling you what was in it.

There's nothing else for me to say about this episode. It is one of the best ever. It's fun AND funny. I hope it brightens your day!

Enjoy episode 11!

Show description: This week, the guys welcome top stand-up comics Steve Miller-Miller and Chris Parsons. I Got Reesed

November 13, 2014 Episode 10
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez
Guest: Nick Kupsey

Happy First Day Of Spring!!
This is a picture from my early spring camping trip last year. This is where my head is right now. I can't wait to go again. There's no TPAH in the woods, but I'm campaigning to get Steve to go with me. So far, he's not really feeling it but I can be persuasive. How hot would it be to get Steve Rees alone in the woods? sigh. Now I'm distracted, but let's carry on with TPAH episode 10.

John's Goddamn Tweets For The Week were extra hilarious this week for some reason.

Top stand-up and long time friend of the show, Nick Kupsey was beginning his residency at TPAH. Surely he can pass The Door Test, right?

Nick and Steve were on A Podcast Against Humanity. They explain that it's basically Cards Against Humanity and Bradley Beck totally kicked everyone's ass. Sorry! Spoiler. I'm going to listen to it today. Perhaps you'd like to as well. Here's a link.
http://www.laffcast.com/archive/apah/

Steve brought up the "discussion" between Dr. Frielgood and himself that took place on the previous show. Turns out it continued after the mics were off and it got "heated"!!!! Good grief! Don't get heated off mic! Let us in on that shit! Anyway, the Dr.'s stance is that the show should just be funny. It's a comedy show and he doesn't want to get in to serious discussions and all of that. Steve says let's do it all. Let's bring people in. As long as it's entertaining, we can talk about anything.

Steve offers up an apology to Dr. Frielgood through this song:

This is a lovely song to play for someone you're apologizing to. Luckily the Dr. accepts. I think he also thinks the discussion might be over. Nope!

Just sayin' -I want it to be ok to wear a jean jacket vest over a sundress again.I can't listen to the song too much because I don't need it stuck in my head, but the clothes take me back to that simpler time.

We get a reminder that Artie Lange had been in some hot water for "racist" tweets. The guys talk a little about this and the "manufactured outrage" around it.

Feminist comedians are discussed. Then, the talk turns to *Wena Dumbham and her stupid book. Remember when she admitted that before she grew up to represent every single thing that's wrong with the women's movement today she was continuously molesting her little sister? Yeah, me too. That's all my opinion. No one on TPAH said that. It's just one of those things that does my head in. Ya know, it's bullshit like her and twitter and manufactured outrage that makes activities like camping so enjoyable and important. We all need a break from the nonsense sometimes. There are no moron, can't take a joke, bullshit dumbasses around my campfire in the woods. *deep breath

There were two new sponsors this week. The Eric Todd GPS and Benny Michaels' Rent-A-Santa.

I have picks for an alternate show title: 5 Hour Gravy Drink and Shut Up And Sing

Favorite quote: "Because NPR hasn't told you how to feel about it?" - Steve Rees

Enjoy episode 10!

Show description: This week, the guys usher in the Nick Kupsey residency. They talk about John's radio exploits, Artie Lange's recent twitter imbroglio, and the recently fractured friendship between Steve and Dr. Frielgood. It's all that matters on the only podcast that matters.

*I purposely misspelled that broad's name in this post. This show was 5 years ago. Who even cares about her now?

Lunchtime At The Baby Coffin Factory

November 6, 2014 Episode 9
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez, Nick Vollmer
Guest: Dave Primiano

Hello Darling! Today's classic episode is so fun. There are a ton of jokes! We've come to expect the funny, but we aren't always treated to this many actual jokey-jokes.

We meet Dave Primiano, who is the Dave in Bob And Dave Are Terrible People. Remember Bob that we met on the last one? Same show. He's also a frequent advertiser on TPAH whether he likes it or not. He's a wonderful guest and brings a lot of laughs.

John takes us into a great story about doing comedy for the mob a railway worker's retirement with The Reverend Bob Levy. John also gives us the exciting news about the radio show he was doing with The Reverend on WNJC.
If you don't know Bob Levy, you need to get on the winning team and seek him out. I LOVE Bob Levy. He is hilarious in all the ways no one is allowed to be hilarious anymore.

There was some weird and rare technical difficulties with Dr. Frielgood's mic. Luckily, we are able to catch one of the greatest The Door Tests ever. He's so great!

This is a weird episode for me because I found out that My Sweet Baboo calls AC/DC "Acca Dacca". I guess we'll get through it. He's still hot like lava.

He brought up AC/DC because Phil Rudd had been arrested that day for trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife - or something. So much great conversation came from this story! We learn that Steve's ex bought some fake AC/DC from iTunes. I can relate. I got a fugazi "All Star" Christmas album at a thrift store once. Pissed me right off. Also, Steve makes a great point that this whole hiring a hit man to kill your wife thing wouldn't happen "if the broad can't take half of everything you've ever earned".

The guys also get into a chat about cat calling that leads to Steve and Dr. Frielgood getting into it! The Dr. is NOT having any of it from Steve and Steve is not going to back down. Who doesn't love a good fight between podcast hosts? If I remember correctly, this one's going to bleed into the next show.

I have some favorite quotes:
"You don't see Brad Pitt with Aunt Esther" - John Kensil
"I'm totally against street harassment. Save it for the elevator." - Nick Vollmer
"AC/DC. They're current." - John Kensil
"If Paul McCartney had been accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill Heather Mills, would any jury convict him?" - Steve Rees

Enjoy episode 9!

Show description: This week, the guys welcome top stand-up comic Dave Primiano. The guys talk about John's recent radio exploits, Dave's 9/11 joke, Australian laws, and catcalling. It's all that matters on the only podacst that matters.

Bob and Josh Are Good People

October 30, 2014 Episode 8
Cast: Steve Rees, Dr. Frielgood, Nick Vollmer
Guest: Rob DeSantis
Caller: Josh Jakubiw

Happy St. Patrick's Day, I suppose. I hope you're having a fun weekend.

Today's TPAH from the past is a nice, laid back, easy breezy show. There's no drama or guest shenanigans. We love those things, but we also love a peaceful chat between funny people who are just talking about fun things. There's nothing in this episode that makes me want to rant and rave. It's a fun one and it's perfect for a Sunday morning when a lot of people might be nursing a hangover.

John Kensil and Darin are missing from the line up this week. Dr. Frielgood made sure we still got the Goddamn Tweets For The Week.

I have two favorite things that happened. First, Rob (Bob?) was talking about how he's not good with names or faces. He sometimes thinks Steve is that guy that's always standing with Benny and that other guy. That's just a cute image that made me smile. Also, Dr. Frielgood administers an elaborate and fantastic The Door Test. Both guests fail. Oops! Spoiler!

Both Rob (Bob?) and Josh are great guests. They both plug their podcasts that they had at the time. I'll link to the classic Bob And Dave Are Terrible People that's still available over at Laffcast.com. If you scroll through and see who the guests were, you'll see a lot of familiar names. I'm going to check out episode 50 today. That dreamy Steve Rees was on that one.
I tried to find Josh's show, Joshcast, but no luck.

Relax, have a greasy breakfast, pop an Advil, and enjoy episode 8!

Jesus Is A Friend Of Mine

October 23, 2014 Episode 7
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez
Guests: Omar Scruggs and Tony Rinaldi Spinelli

Happy Saturday, Darling. Today's classic TPAH is a great one to experience while you're running around doing all of your Saturday whatnot.

On the previous week's show we learned some things not to do at Laffcast. This time though the guys have top stand-up Omar Scruggs to show us how it's done. Omar seemed to maybe not be a regular listener, and he didn't pass the Door Test, but he brought the right personality and charisma to be able to fit in perfectly. Steve seems to be much happier with this guest since he called the last show, "horrible". There's no horrible TPAH, Steve. But, we know what you mean.

Talk of the last guest started things off. Dr. Frielgood thinks that maybe Steve was a little to aggressive with his improv hate stance. Not a listener, Doc?

We learn some interesting behind-the-scenes tidbits about conversations that happened with the previous guest at the studio, but not on mic. That guy really left an impression, huh? Poor Previous Guest!

After the Goddamn Tweets, we start to learn more about Omar. At the time he was doing his own sports podcast that could be found on supercrappyfuntime.com. I tried to find this so I could link to it here, but it's gone. I did find their facebook page, but the last post was made in 2015.

Can I just take a moment to rant here? I super extra hate when a podcast disappears and they take down all of the archives and content. That's not fair to your fans! It's especially not fair to all of the people who were on the show and provided content for you. To just decide that you don't want to pay for it anymore and erase people's hard work and contributions with a quick click of a button is a horrible thing to do!! Let me tell you a little story. In the early 2000's there was an incredible show called Channel Chaos. It was the funniest podcast ever. There weren't 15 bazillion shows to choose from at the time and Channel Chaos was certainly a trailblazer for the talk show style podcasts that we have today. Almost everyone that was in comedy in the Philadelphia area at the time appeared on that show. Keep in mind, this was a time when there was such a thing as comedy and there were actual living, breathing funny comedians who were allowed to be funny. Amazing things happened on there all the time. I kept listening even after they stopped recording. It was fun to go back in the archives and relive moments. Out of the blue it was gone. Just gone. All of the great stuff that so many people did for them just erased. Imagine being one of the guests and never being able to share a great appearance or something funny you did on a show because they just up and deleted it? Gutting!! Anyway, that's my Channel Chaos story. The agony stays with me. I was lucky enough to get most of the shows on cd from one of the hosts, but still. It's the principle. Maybe this is just a thing that bothers me. Who knows? Maybe no one gives a shit. When I rule the world, this bullshit will not stand.

Back to TPAH. Omar was really great. He knows some stuff about Canadian Football! We found out that John Kensil and Omar were in a short film together. Here it is!

Omar was also the first guest on Back To The Humor which was directed by our Midnight Martinez!

In October lame radio stations do that whole Rocktober thing. Not our TPAH. Since the show is ministry based, they give us Contemporary Christianber! Once we're told about that, we're handed this gem:

OOF! Luckily, OFLWAFPSOAPBP gets played right after as a palate cleanser. There's no video for that and I can't help but wonder why. There should really be a fun visual element to Old Fat Lady With A Fanny Pack. I'm going to put that on my list of things to get to the bottom of.

I still have two pages of notes left about this show. It was so action packed! But, I'm going to wrap up and leave you in peace to experience it for yourself.

Favorite quote: "Since Omar's here we should have put more bass in that."- Dr. Frielgood

Enjoy episode 7!

Show description: This week, the guys welcome top stand up comedian Omar Scruggs. They talk about last week's abysmal show, a football field full of moon bounces, and cheesy Christian pop tunes. Tony Rinaldo Spinelli chimes in with his hatred for Polish jokes. It's all that matters on the only podcast that matters.

Adele Goes To KFC

October 16, 2014 Episode 6
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez
Guests: Benny Michael, Tommy Touhill, Tony Rinaldi Spinnelli

If you're already a long time listener of TPAH, you'll recognize the significance of this one. As soon as you hit play, you'll remember what went on that makes this such an important piece of the history of the show. You know who wasn't a listener? Poor Tommy Touhill.

Oh boy, you guys. This is a tough one. I'm just going to put it out there for new people. The incomparable Tommy Touhill was in the studio for a chat. He probably thought he was just going to have a basic night on a basic podcast. We know, and now Tommy knows too, there's nothing basic about TPAH. He started his appearance by zoning out and just silently, intently staring at the Laffcast.com banner during John Kensil's Goddamn Tweets For The Week. Maybe on some other show you won't immediately get called out for that, but this is TPAH, baby! Then, one of the first things he chose to talk about was his time in improv! Yikes! That may fly over on the Robots and Remember That Night At That Open Mic? Hour, but if you come to TPAH with your improv stories, you're going to get read. Again, poor Tommy.

Now, I don't know Mr. Touhill. I'm certainly not going to pick on him about this appearance. I'm living in a glass house as far as not-so-great appearances go, but I will say this: Everyone should be at least somewhat familiar with a show that they're going on. This happens a few times on TPAH and I've heard it on other shows. It does my friggin head in. How do you walk into a studio to participate in someone's show without ever hearing it? I can't decide if it makes you look lazy or conceited. Wait. It's conceited. I just decided. It's like you're assuming that whole conversation is going to be all about you, so why would you be prepared for anything else? I don't think you have to know everything about a show that you've been invited to, but really? You couldn't listen to a couple episodes at work that day or something? Couldn't possibly check out the latest one in the car on the way over? If you haven't made yourself familiar with the show and the personalities, you damn sure better be able to hang. If you can't, a couple of things could happen: You could alienate fans of the show and guarantee they aren't going to show up at whatever bullshit you were there to plug. You're not going to win any new fans like you'd assumed you would by just showing up. Even worse, your appearance could become a cautionary tale and a running punch line. Poor Tommy.

Even though Tommy wasn't quite in it to win it that night, it's a hilarious episode! There's a lot more going on than just Tommy falling in love with the banner.

My pick for alternate show title: Eddie Touhill Hates Your Tweets

Enjoy episode 6!

Show description: This week, the guys welcome top stand-up comedians Benny Michaels and Tommy Touhill. They talk about the differences between stand-up and improv, interesting bar jukebox choices and promoting one's podcast on national television. It's all that matters on the only podcast that matters.

Throwback Thursday

October 9, 2014 Episode 5
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez, Nick Vollmer

Hello Darling! Get ready for a super fun classic TPAH. So many exciting things happened in this one. I don't even know where to start.

For their "Throwback Thursday," the guys shared things that they wrote years ago even if they don't think it's great stuff now. Of course it's great stuff, though.

Steve shared an emotion-stirring essay entitled, There's A You Shaped Hole In My Heart. He also gave us a somewhat scandalous editorial he wrote in college called, You're Not Getting My Kidney, Yankees Fan. He claims to have received a big ol' "A" on that in his creative writing class. I choose to believe him even though he can't prove it. He brought his original paper with the grade and the instructor's kind remarks on it to the Laffcast campus for the show that night, but forgot it when he left. *Chris Scamuffa threw it away. Luckily, we still have the letter Steve wrote to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

John Kensil shared some of his Goddamned Tweets from the past and they still hold up today. Nick turned in some fun throwbacks including the story of his original YouTube show, Poo Poo Bloggins and a fantastic letter his uncle wrote to Cinnabon.

Steve hit us with another throwback later in the show. Rick Dees' Top 10 Tips for Personal Success from way back in 1996. This led to an exciting round of  the first ever What Would Rick Dees Do? Quizpuzzlegramme Extravaganza Spectacular. Everyone really sucked at this game even though Steve had pretty much given them the answers. It's good stuff.

Midnight Martinez shared something he'd written in his notebook in 1994, Babes of 1994. But, right before that, it happened....the first installment of MOOSE DUMPS!!!! Whoo hoo!! If you're already in the TPAH universe, you know that every October we're treated to Midnight Martinez's spooky stories that he wrote as a child / pre-teen. This is one of my very, very favorite parts of TPAH and I look forward to it every year. You will too!

There are too many great quotes in this episode to list, but here are my top four:
"Rick Dees hates the blind" - Steve (Also my pick for alternate show title')
"Circle does not get the square, motherfucker" - Steve
"I'm surrounded by a bunch of jabronis...." - Steve
"When someone's insane, they call their opinion a manifesto." - Nick

I told you there was a lot going on in this one.

Enjoy episode 5!

Show description: This week, the guys bring in strange things they wrote years ago. Steve campaigns for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and insists in choosing his kidney recipient. John reads his original tweets, Nick reads a complaint from his uncle, and the whole gang plays a failed round of 'What Would Rick Dees Do?' Quizpuzzlegramme Extravaganza Spectacular.

Katherine Hepburn On Acid

October 2, 2014 Episode 4
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez
Guests: Mike Clements and Roger Weaver

Episode #4 Includes the best WID impression and the worst prank call idea ever.
After we catch up with Mike Clements and the cast, the guys have a quick talk about the last episode of Podcheese which was about the previous episode of TPAH. This part of the show led to my favorite quote of the episode. "Hopefully the Podcheese about this episode will be more interesting." That was from Dr. Frielgood. Are you noticing a pattern? Dr. Frielgood doesn't always have a ton to say, but when he chimes in it's friggin gold.
There's a really funny story from Mike Clements from when he was a *SEPTA driver and a tease of some **Frank Rizzo audio he has. In a later episode we finally hear that tape, but Mike chose to not participate in that one. It's good stuff.

Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Enjoy episode 4!

Steve and John on Podcheese

Oh Boy, Darlings! You're in for a treat.

Now that you've experienced the "Match Lasted Four Seconds" episode of The Passive Aggressive Hour, you'll want to check out this incredible Podcheese. This episode is called The Cutting Room Floor Pt2. It was recorded the week after Benny was on TPAH in September, 2014 but not released until March of 2017.

John and Steve headed over to the Podcheese campus to join Benny for a follow up conversation about what happened the week before on TPAH. Wowsers! They do NOT hold back. We find out what was really going on and their thoughts on it. This is not to be missed.

Match Lasted Four Seconds

September 25, 2014 Episode 3
Cast: Steve Rees, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez
Guests: Benny Michael, Billy Kumohara and Grand Champion Icarus from Chikara Pro Wrestling

So many great things happened in this third installment of The Passive Aggressive Hour. John Kensil wasn't in the studio this week. Benny Michael from Podcheese filled in to read John's Goddamned Tweets For The Week and did a great job. We're then introduced to Billy Kumohara and Icarus from Chikara Pro Wrestling. Pro wrestling talk ensues. Steve immediately set up a hilarious story about Benny applying for a job in the world of wrestling and it becomes a running thread through the whole episode culminating in Dr. Frielgood delivering one of the funniest and still used lines of the entire history of the show. This is a fun one, foLks!

We certainly learn a lot about professional wrestling in this episode, but I'm left with a question. Why does dude take his phone or his keys to the ring with him? That seems odd to me. I don't know if I really need that question answered. It will probably just bug me for a few days and get replaced with something else.

Enjoy the fun Episode 3!

Show description: This week, the guys welcome Chikara Pro Wrestling's Billy Kumohara and Grand Champion Icarus. Top stand up comedian Benny Michaels from the excellent Podcheese brought his big penis to the show. It's the only podcast that matters on the latest Passive Aggressive Hour.

There were several mentions of Scotland in John's Goddamned Tweets For The Week. Perhaps you've forgotten (like I did) what was going on in Scotland way back then. Here's a link to a really long wikipedia page about it if you'd like a refresher.

Legendary Wid

September 18, 2014 Episode 2
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez
Guest: The Legendary Wid
Caller: Roger Weaver

This classic episode has my very favorite appearance by The Legendary Wid, the coolest, most fascinating man on the planet. If you don't know about Wid, get ready to fall in love. On this TPAH, he shares stories of sneaking into some really cool events. Plus, his usual Wid fun and greatness.
There should be a movie, a docuseries, a musical, a sitcom, a comic book, an action figure, and a Spike Lee Joint all about Wid. I just can't get enough. I want to hear ALL the stories.

I met him once. It was last summer and we were both on TPAH. I was completely star struck. That kind of star struck that makes you all nervous and tongue tied. Wid is very sweet, very easy to talk to, and he seems to be one of those guys that doesn't realize how great he is. But, I was a complete mess. It didn't help that my raging crush on Steve Rees was making me literally insane. It was one of the absolute best nights of my life. I made a huge ass out of myself, but who cares? Good times.

Enjoy episode 2!

Show description: This week, the guys welcome top stand up comedian The Legendary Wid. Wid shares tales of sneaking into concerts, attending Jack Benny's funeral, and giving Warren Zevon a dancing Elvis. Comic Roger Weaver calls in with hard-hitting topical jokes. It's all that matters on the only podcast that matters.

Bonus Wid!

A Thousand Spicy Wings

September 11, 2014  Episode 1
Cast: Steve Rees, John Kensil, Dr. Frielgood, Midnight Martinez, Nick Volmer

Here we are at the very first episode of The Passive Aggressive Hour. If you're not familiar with the show yet, you should know a little history. It used to be The Eric Toddcast. That's the very simple way to put it, but we'll dive right in to the full story a little later. It's not needed to enjoy the inaugural TPAH.

Show Description: We start with the guys talking about the death of comedy legend Joan Rivers and what she meant to comedy. They also discuss their plan to open the first podcast-owned ministry-based Buffalo Wild Wings franchise and new sponsors are welcomed to The Passive Aggressive Hour: The only podcast that matters.

Favorite quote: "The show is the same as The Eric Toddcast, but now we can make fun of clowns." - Dr. Frielgood
That's also my pick for alternate show title.

Fun, right? We're just beginning, Darlings.

I won't weigh this post down with all of my commentary and blah blah about episode #1. I hope you've enjoyed it and you'll be back in a few days to get into the next episode, Legendary Wid.
